Diversitypedia V-W Whitopia

One of the political divisions author Richard Benjamin sees as the split between what he calls ObamaNation versus Whitopia. Whitopia consists of the anti-immigration, anti-tax, pro-gun mindset he said he found in Republican strongholds such as Utah. That’s a political divide from the white American Democratic Party supporters, who still are segregated but are pro-Obama and pro-diversity, according to Benjamin.  Benjamin’s book, “Searching for Whitopia: An Improbable Journey into the Heart of White America,” was published last fall and received the 2009 Editors Choice Award from the American Library Association.
