Diversity Officer Bobbye Sweat, MBA, CDP is the recipient of the Diversity Executive Leadership Academy 2019 outstanding certified diversity professional award. She has 25+ years of managerial experience. Her skills and expertise are in the areas of Diversity & Inclusion, Business Operations, Sales & Marketing, and IT Network Operations.

She received her MBA from the City University of Seattle and Certified Diversity Professional credentials from DTUI (Now Diversity Executive Academy; San Francisco, CA). Prior to entering the diversity profession, Diversity Officer Sweat was an account manager at AT&T. Her growing interest in diversity and inclusion led to seeking out training and credentials. The credentials and her accomplishments in other roles resulted in securing a diversity and inclusion role with AT&T. She leveraged that experience and her credentials to secure diversity and inclusion leadership roles in other organizations, such as Mercedes-Benz and JC Penny. Each time she seeks to retire, a headhunter will find a new challenge for her.

Diversity Officer Sweat is a highly skilled leader who drives talent engagement, business growth and cross-cultural competence across colleagues, partner relationships, and customers. She is highly collaborative in leadership style. She offers a compelling business case for promoting and elevating diversity & inclusion for greater business results.

Diversity Officer Sweat is drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, and other grass-roots community service programs that focus on educating children. Her hobbies and interests include reading, walking, and gardening. Her family is her greatest joy.
