Position Summary: In support of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England’s mission, the Staff Training Specialist (Diversity & Leadership Trainer) is responsible for the development and implementation of training related to on-boarding, sexual health content, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Essential Functions:
- Designs and implements training curriculum in a variety of settings including in person and virtually
- Provides excellent internal customer service to a variety of stakeholders including administrative, clinical, education, and public policy departments
- Partners with Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and Director of Equity & Organizational Culture to ensure a robust training program for all PPSNE staff
- Maintains level of expertise in training content areas including diversity, equity, inclusion, leadership development, and sexual health
- Coordinates with Director of Clinical Staff Training to ensure coordination between clinical staff training and all other staff
- Facilitates adeptly on topics such as sexual health, race, systemic oppression, cross-cultural communication, LGBTQ inclusivity, and giving and receiving feedback
- Develops and facilitates trainings to external customers in partnership with Director of Equity & organizational culture

- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong training design skills both in person and in virtual settings, with front line staff to executive leadership
- Demonstrated experience with group facilitation and educational pedagogy
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills (verbal and written)
- Understanding of adult learning theory
- Understanding of organizational culture practices
- Must possess the ability to work with changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects
- Ability to work in a confidential and time sensitive environment
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

The starting salary is $48,131-$55,832 and is based on full years of experience
